Pasadena Fishins first halibut!

Hey everyone, been a little while since i did a report.

Headed up to longbeach for a few hours looking for my first butt. I decided to forgo dropshotting and only bring some 110 flashminnows.
After an hour of no bites i hooked up into this baby, my first hali! Didnt have a measuring tape so i don't know how long, but i planned on releasing her regardless.

Gees, 3 good Halibut reported from 3 fishermen in the past few days from 3 different locations. If its global warming, I want more of it.

I try a few times a week but the perch bite is so good I usually give up the LC or swimbait after and hour or so and start slayin BSP with the grub or sandworm.

Hopefully i'll get my first sometime soon too!

Way to go on the first flattie! They've been a little hard to come by with all the cold water and weather, so that's a great accomplishment...legal or not. I'm sure that legal is just around the corner!
