I took the wife and son to the beach. We have never fished the surf before so we didn't know what to expect, but we had a blast. We caught a bunch of perch. The weather was great, it got up to 79ish. We used berkely camo sandworms.

My son reeled in his very first fish.

Thanks guys. I checked this site first and was able to collect enough info on what types of baits to use and how to read the surf (examine the area at low tide) to have a successful day. All the tips worked great... so thanks guys for the info.

Great day any day you can get out with friends and family. The fish are a bonus. A nice bonus I might say.

Congrats and I hope you keep it going thought out the summer.

Nothing better than taking the family fishing..except for taking them catching..it's a surefire way to buy some time before hearing, ''Honey, maybe we should get going'' :)
And you sure brought along the right perch candy..
Cheers
