Caught a bass with a yellow tag.. Any info on this?

Some fish were tagged during a barotrauma study after tournaments last winter. It could be one of those. Quinn did the study, so I'm sure he could shed some light on it.

Wow thats pretty exciting new huh...great...except none of it is true. lol You caught a bass that has been measured and tagged for one of Kwins studys. Its actually very common.. We catch alot of them throughout the year which is cool because it proves that alot of tournament caught bass survive to bite over and over again.. Kwin knows what each color means... I caught a red tagger at my last tournament. Hopefully you removed the tag before you ate it!!!! hahahahahahahahahahaha

I caught a tagged one at DVL,it was in a trout,I took the tag to the Marina office and they gave me a T-shirt.I think they said it was a tag from an earlier trout tournament,something like that.

Last weekend, I caught a bass with a yellow tag. It read Dec, 2009 . We call the marina and fowarded us with DFG. They asked for the length (16" ) and released the fish. As previously mentioned, it was a barotrauma project to show that properly needled fish can survive. Kudos for us bass fishermen doing the right thing to preserve our resources.

Ditto, I caught one a few weeks ago with a yellow 2009 tag.
