Got up early and was at the first spot at 5:20am. It was 28-29 degrees. Started with the KPN and Flukes fishing til 6:30am. Rod guides were freezing up and the level winds were slushing up. Got nada out here. Other than my finger tips that got painfully cold , everything else stayed warm. Headed back to my truck to thaw everything out and get a cup a coffee with a little Baileys and Jamison's to warm the insides up.

Heading north to Old River AO next.

Hit two more AOs between IKEA gates and Old River gates for nada. Water was moving, not much, but moving. Finished up about 9:15am and headed home to watch football. Won't be back out there until I get my Cabela's Glomitts gloves.

For those who fish in ice weather, do y'all have any tips for de-icing your poles and reels? The ice was messing with the level-wind making jerky jerky at times.

I was out this morning. 23 degrees. 3 fish, one a toad. All on video will post up shortly.

Quality gear is the only advice I can give on freezing temps

Thanks for both reports. You guys are tough. I am not ready for those AM temperatures. I look forward to seeing the video also.

i went out today up north temp was 29 i got 3 today biggest was 22 inch all were keeper size

i lost a bigger fish as i slid him up the duct and just watched him flop hes way back in

Nice work DK, I was fishing a little north of Huron today for nada. Fished from 1-5. I was throwing Flukes as well. Spoke with two other guys who werent getting anything on rattletraps. It was too cold out there. Should of brought along the gloves.
