This just in. Stripers have been found in lake Dixon. A 20lb+ has just been pulled out. Never thought I would see the day. This is a pretty small lake.

Unlike its neighbor Lake Wohlford, Lake Dixon is on the aqueduct, thus the stripers and unfortunately also quaggas.

Fished Dixon 5 times past month and a half. Trust me the largemouth population is not jeopardy. Never seen more lmb over 5lbs in any other lake in the winter.

Yes love those San Diego lakes. Miss living above Hodges, I hear it's rebounding even more since I left, good news!

Ya gotta watch it when u hook a trout in trout cove. I've seen those stripers come after my catch when fishing the inlet. Miss Dixon, great little lake with tons of lmb. They're big for a reason so ya gotta get creative for the big boys

Wow what a bruiser! I have never heard about any Stripers in that lake. Do they let private boats in there or is it still rentals only?

oh da shiz

It's only rental boats. There are not a lot of stripers in Dixon only about 4-5, now 3-4. They got in there about 6-8 years ago when there was a problem with the aqueduct. I've seen a couple in trout cove in the past. Also, the LMB in Dixon sucks don't ever fish this lake for LMB. hehehe.

I was fishing at Dixon the day it was caught. I broke off a 6+ lbs trout in the cove that morning.

I doubt it was released. I believe Dixon wants them OUT. some type of most wanted program or something.
