Float tube New Port Harbor

Hello everyone,
Need some help! My buddy and I are heading out to New Port tomorrow 1/11/13 to fish the Harbor in my float tube. I've never fished there or even tubed any kind of harbors for that
matter, just tube my local lakes. Looking to catch some Halibuts.

What areas of the harbor are people fishing on tubes? What baits are people using out there? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I would imagine swim baits bounced off the bottom would be the ticket, as far as where? I've never tubed the harbors but always wanted to. Good luck buddy be safe!

I've tubed the harbors a quite few times don't stress out there the damn seals and pelicans will fuq with you the most. Big hammer christmas color spotty special don't for get the smellys its slow right now pm me I can direct you to a fairly large tube group and the season is coming up def some nice hookups to come.
