So I'm considering getting into the swimbait craze and was wondering what you all think is the best swimbait in terms of ease of fishing and productivity. Kind of a broad question I know just looking for a good first swimbait. I was thinking of getting the 8 in. hudd because I see some lures like the deadtwitch require more work than throw it out and reel it in and it seems a little difficult for a first timer. Any input is appreciated.

I would probably say the Hudd in ROF 5. I am also pretty partial to Triple Trouts. I guess a good question to ask first would be "what type of fish are you targeting?"

I'd agree with the ROF5 Hudd 8", and then throw in the 8" lunker punker.

I like the ROF 12 Hud. and sign up at Huds. website for when the 68 specials go on sale. Add a Punker and I'm still partial to BBZ's in both floating and slow sink.

Good luck and may your elbow remain pain free!

Awesome! Thanks for the replies I knew there are swimbait experts on here that would help. It sounds like the hudd is what I'm going to go with... so a follow up question now... how should I rig the hudd i know the 5 doesn't come with the top hook and the 12 come with it. Should I use the one that comes on the 12 if I choose to get the 12 or should I get rid of it and rig it some other way. Thanks!

Hudd 68 forsure... I use it straight out of the package if there is weeds. If no weeds then i use a "Butch Brown Rig"
