Hello my fellow fisherman!!! and Happy new years

So my very first time crabbing was in seattle washington gig harbor to be exact and it was awesome i did it over the summer of 2012 and caught a couple dungies, I come back home and wishing hey where do i do that and how do i do that and what are the regulations to do that. After a few months pass, i hadnt given it much though, until recently i was watching TV and i was like hey crabbing in cali!!

first off sorry for being such a newb here in crabbing, but what are the rules for catching?

also what is the best place to crab? Thanks for all the help and HAPPY NEW YEAR hopefully i catch some crabs! (the good kind :-P)
