I came close last Thursday when it was extremly windy but lost a monster bass while drop shoting in the ramp area and got stuck by the hook as I went to grab it in the weeds and lost it. Went over 5 and maybe was over 6 lbs

I haven't been to Perris in something like a month, Steve, unlike last year. Lots of extenuating circumstances are keeping me busy, or it's closed when I want to go, plus it keeps raining. Last time I went, the fishing wasn't good, anyway. I can't remember very well but I think I only caught a small Bluegill or two (put back) at the marina.

Usually I hit up dvl but decided to fish lake perris and had two bass from 7 am to 5pm. One came fishing the tree lines with a California swim jig second on a rip bait. Tried fishing humps but nothing going ,Lake perris seems so much tougher to fish but then again its winter season so I guess it a grind anywhere.

Was there saturday. Was tough! I didnt see anything caught. Got a nibble on the south end near the reeds.

Ive taken the last 3 1/2 weeks off to prepare to hit 2013 hard!!!! Im ready to rock now... I feel re-energized and Im looking forward to the coming year... Starting in the next couple days the onslaught will begin..... Note to the bass at Perris And DVL....be afraid...be very afraid!!!!

3/8 pepper jig head(i get them at last chance just my preference) with a craw style trailer and a lil procure

The Bass are there......you just need to find them holding to structure, or near structure. They will move back and forth. Structure will hold other types of bait that bass search for. I was there right before the holidays, it was raining and cold, but still marked and caught a handful of bass. We mainly fished any structure we could find, or flats areas near structure. The bass are somewhat lethargic, so you need to slow down your presentation, and basically hit them on the head. Find structure and you'll find bass........

My daughter and I was fishing last Friday afternoon at lots 11 and 12 ...caught 3 trout... soaking rainbow powerbait...

Yeah Steve, where's the reports? We were so excited when we got a Lake Perris Reports section, but in the past several months, no one is putting up reports. No doubt it's partly the cooler weather to blame, but in a way, maybe it's a good thing...

The fish are hibernating! Ha, jk....I went out last week and got some nice ones shallow up tight. My two biggest went 3lbs even and 3lbs 10oz. All caught early too on craw style baits.

I was out yesterday in some great weather and caught 2 bass from shore using plastic worms. They were ok size but didn't weigh either I would guess 2.5 and 2 pounds.
