Hit the Duct early this morning, line in the water by 6:00am and still dark. Gates were probably opened 1/4 or less and by 8:30am, the were pretty much closed. Managed to land 6 at one spot and 1 at a second spot. Only on legal one CR'd. Fish were caught on a variety of lures and Flukes. Still looking for the bigger ones and weather permitting, gonna go checkout the areas between Freeborn and Lerdo next week. Any info on access to those areas would be appreciated.

Define access?

For Lerdo, to access the Duct, either north or south of the highway, are there dirt roads drive in either direction or does one have to park off Lerdo Highway and walk in? Are there openings in the fences/ access points like other areas? For Freeborn, any problems getting to and driving to and getting to areas fish, etc. Looks pretty accessible. I'm off work next week so I want to do some exploring and try some new areas.

Freeborn is piece of cake.

Lerdo is WB on Lerdo and pass the duct left on Starr rd., then south 5 miles or so. 4th dirt road past the shop turn left. Takes you to the gate. Upon leaving that spot, identify the toxic land fill to the south. Find your way to it and you will be at Lokern rd, take lokern south to 58 and the Buttonwillow gates are right there off 58.

Lost Hills gates can be accessed from either 46 off Lost Hills rd. or Lerdo hwy. From Lerdo as you approach the duct take a right at the frontage dirt rd. and head north. You will have to drive 1/2 mile around a dirt canal {that does not hold stripers} but its no biggie. From the north just take the eastern frontage road from Lost Hills rd

All bets are off if it rains and don't call me if your stuck
