Hey Ron how's it? Sorry not to see any bass in the counts, not like being on pbers skiff right? Still I always enjoy your reports, sad about dfg license situation, but nothing that means less services for more money surprises me anymore.
Nice pic of the kids visiting, looks like nice breakfast, Ihop? Also I've actually seen the Manta Shrimp for sale at a local tropical fish store by my home, don't ever try to pick one up!

Nice report JapanRon. Those mantis shrimp are really darn tasty if you ever get around to eating one.

Try using this next JapanRon. I think it might ignite more bites from the Rockies. I usually use this as a trailer when bass fishing because of its ridiculous action.

So, how did you get your lifetime license for next year? Did you have to go to a landing and get it yourself? Was it free to print? I have lifetime license too. And I have not received anything from DGF as of now yet.

Never mind. I went online to do this myself. All you need is your old license with the GO id. https://www.ca.wildlifelicense.com/InternetSales/
I wonder what happens when you don't have that number. Call DFG?!

Never touch a live Mantis Shrimp.

Called "sea locusts" by ancient Assyrians, "prawn killers" in Australia and now sometimes referred to as "thumb splitters" – because of the animal's ability to inflict painful gashes if handled incautiously – mantis shrimp sport powerful claws that they use to attack and kill prey by spearing, stunning, or dismemberment. Although it happens rarely, some larger species of mantis shrimp are capable of breaking through aquarium glass with a single strike from this weapon.

Hi Ifishtoolittle,

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check out that link. Just as long as it's not animal or vegatable or synthetic replication of a byproduct of such !! As in .... it's gotta be wood, plastic of some sort, metal, or feathers/hair !! :)

Hi cklovetofish,

You're very, very welcome. If you didn't get a heads up from my aside, you might have waited until it would be impossible to get the license sent to you in time for a January 1st fishing trip !! Did you read where it says it might take two weeks to get one the license from redemption !?!

These guys ........ Hope you got the confirmation you redeemed the license and am keeping it in case the license doesn't arrive on time !!

Well, after registered and paid for the things I wanted, I was able to print out a temporary license that is good for until 1-15-2013. I guess that would cover the two weeks snail mail.

Well, it turns out it wasn't snail mail as the license arrived on 12-20. I guess DFG uses first class mail. LOL. 3 more years and I break even with the money I paid for lifetime license. Yahoo. I out lived the expectancy.
