I have a Bass Pro Shops Micro Lite 7'-6" Ultra Lite 2pc paired with a Shimano Sahara 100

I really like the action on it and how it could cast effortlessly.
Well I broke the rod today and would like to know what you guys would replace it with?
Its a drive for me to go to BPS and don't know what other rods are comparable or better for under $100.00

So what would you guys recommend?
Why?

Thanks for your time

This might sound stupid but Walmart has good trout rods pretty sure all are under 100. With a lot that are ultralights and fast action

The American Spirit rods at Turners are 49 bucks. They are a pretty sweet ultra light 2 piece 7'6" rod with a split grip. They also have the daiwa presso's for 59. Either one is good, I prefer the AS it reminds me of a Phenix Mirage blank....

i use and like the Okuma SST trout rods... very nice IM-8 blank rods for the low price!

here's some info on them: http://www.fishusa.com/Okuma-SST-Trout-Spinning-Rods_p.html

I've seen them at Sport Chalet on sale too...

Don't you have the warranty for the micro lite? Might be able to replace it...

While both of these rods ciost more then $100 brand new, you can often find some deals on them used.

#1) Phenix Elixir - Hands down an awesome trout rod, very versitile, very sensetive, effortless casting, lifetime waranty - I believe that either SA or SC is running a sale on them right now.

#2) Shimano Compre - Another great stick, sensetive, and has a nice bendo action with good backbone. also has a lifetime waranty, not as nice at the Elixir.

Good luck and let us know what you end up purchasing, and how you like your new rod!
