Tournament fishing

I've been looking to get into some local tournament fishing for a couple of years now but I dont know much about it at all. Are there any tournament guys on here that can give me in site on how everything works and how to get started? Im from the Diamond bar area if that matters.

there is an irvine tourney coming up if thats what your looking for. its on dec 15th i believe. check it out on irvinelake.net. thats all i got hahaha *JBfish*

My son and I did a low entry tournament with National Bass West last May. We had alot of fun and the staff was very helpful with all the rules and weigh in. ABA has some good local tourneys also.
