Short version:
Wet 0830, Dry 1430
Temp: 62-63*F
Depth: 17-25ft
Kill count: 4 rainbow trout, 1 Steelie, 1 Largie (released)
Location: West Shore
Tactics: White/red sparkle Trout King minijig with a pink Berkley power worm trailer dipped in Bite-On Roe (Key)
Long:
Got a call from a friend, he wanted to go to fishing. I had my free pass still so I said lets. Arrived a little later then expected after some late morning planning. launched from the boat dock rentals and headed to the west shore. Slow pick on the fish all day. Worked a pretty good way down the west shore only to get pushed back to boat dock cove by some light mid morning winds. All fish today came from a white/red sparkle Trout King minijig 1/16th ounce paired with a pink Berkley power worm, smothered in Bite-On Roe. The scent was key. My buddy only landed a few but the scent was a deciding factor. He got em on chartreuse colored plastic mini replicas. Got them on the sink, slow retrieve and the fast twitch. Biggest went 3.1 (steelie) and 2.9 (bow) pictured below. Pictures do these fish no justice. The quality of fish was better than yesterdays. Im overdue for a toad. Til next time.
