Does Irvine Lake sell fishing lines? I want to take out my 4lbs test and apply at 15lbs test for catfishing. So my question is does irvine lake's bait shop sell 15lbs lines and can they or do they have the machines that can take out and apply the new line for me? Its cause i dont know anywhere in my area that would do that for me.

i have a feeling that your reel is not rated for 15 lb. line ? if your using 4lb now, no way will 15 lb work on that reel...

Couldnt you do it yourself? I usually do my own. But yeah, I saw a line machine behind the counter there.

Dont be lazy and do it yourself...the clerks typically dont care enough to check which way the line is coming off/going on and it usually comes out twisted as shiat...reel pain in the arse.... a waste of money and time

The Pro Shop can definitely handle your reel winding, although as several posters mentioned, it is possible that if you have a small trout reel, 15 pound line will not work very well on it.
Put on properly, machine-wound line is much better than you can do yourself.
Jimmy is exceptionally experienced at putting on line, so look for him if he is around.

hey how are you doing i live with in a few miles of you. just go up azusa past the 10fwy and on the left hand side there is Turners out doors.

and if you do have it done at the irvine pro shop they are all experienced anglers and not just cashiers so they will make sure the job is done right. same goes at turners.

Might be a nice fight with 4-6lb, but you definitely don't wanna lose a 20+lber at the vine.
