Reel Maintenance problem?

im having trouble on my abu garcia cardinal 402i reel on the anti revers lever mechanism there is a stretchy slinky part and another metal piece sort of a one looped piece and the anti reverse lever is loose if the slinky is not atached to the lever

Its really difficult to tell from your pictures exactly where the parts go. Here's the schematic for your reel, with it you should be able to tell where things go. In the future, I found that if you take pictures before disassembly it makes it easier to put it back together.

Wow, just had the same problem with mine last week, sent mine out to Sav-On- tackle in Santa Fe Springs and they charged me $45 dllrs with shipping back to my home in Moreno valley today. Literally same model reel and I did the same and stretched that spring to remove it. $44 dllrs with parts included,should have just bought another reel. They fixed it without quoting me how much it would cost, Amy there took care of it to prioritize the repair
