Hey Y'all,
went out yesterday to cabrillo Beach to try my luck with swimbaits and had a blast! caught 1 short hali, 3 short sandies, and i short WSB! SHOCKER!!! the weather was bit wierd, very windy and cold. i planned to fish the breakwall but that idea went out the window, so i fished the pier. used a 3.5" swimbait in a sardine color on 1/4 oz. leadhead on 12lb test line. fished for about 2 hours and called it a day.

recap: tube cabrillo last weekend and we caught lots of short sandies and calicos. But towards the end of the fishing day, aprox10:30am, i hooked into something very big on the same colored swimabit and it ran and ran and ran until it spooled me. after i caught the WSB yesterday, i realized that i could have hook into a huge WSB, or atleast i would like to think so. It's pretty fun when you're sitting in your tube and your line is just peeling out of control. oh well, that was fun; all the more reason to keep on fishing! Good Luck out there, there are some big ones out there!
