Drove up to bishop to do some fishing, and enjoy the escenery.
Me, the kids, and my wife.
It was a long drive from Oxnard to Bishop but well worth it
we took off from oxnard early sat 1:30 AM
arrived at bishop around 7 to 7:30 breakfast at dennys and then to lake convict
to try my luck at some trout, didnt stay there long because it was very cold and windy
i did see a lot of people fishing but didnt see any fish on their stringers.
then drove up to mammoth lakes only to turn back because it was snowed in
and i had no chains in my car.
so back down the 395 to pleasant valley reservoir
caught and released one nice little brown trout there.
by then itwas time to eat lunch and then checked into our hotel for the night
we stayed at the creekside inn, nice place i woul recommend it.
the next morning we drove to lake sabrina only to find it frozen. that was quite a sight.
hiked down the the creek and finaly found were the fish were holding
caught a few on the gulp pinched crawlers the natural color
all in all we had a lot of fun the kids caught fish my wife loved the escenery and i had a blast
most definitely will go back next year.
