Last Saturday, my daughter woke me up at 6 or so and said, "Daddy, lets go fishing".

First line in the water by 745.

She killed it.....caught a few red ears and one catfish. No trout despite rumors of a stocking.

The one pictured was a pig....largest pan fish we've caught there in a while. She had a fun day.

Today, I opted to go back to the pudd for bass revenge.

Last two stops gave me the skunk.

Like all my fall visits, I hit the wind blown banks.

I kept that pattern but included the diving grebes to locate the fish.

It worked....4 fish from 345 to 5. Started off with a nice 4 plus pounder then a 2 pounder. The last two fish were pound plusers.

Revenge was sweet!

Water level raised a half foot after the rain last week. Went today, dropped back down another half. Only got two juvies today. It appeared all the bait fish ventured back to the mid area of the lake. Birds were having a Vegas style buffet out there.
