I have been to Oceanside pier 2 times in the last week for at least 6 hours each trip got 1 short lobster and no fish. Lots of people out fishing but nobody is catching anything .

Are you targeting lobster?
If so, try setting your hoop over by the marina.
I saw an elderly gentleman there once and he said he gets a few legals a year.
As far as fishing, change things up a little.
Different bait, different location and more importantly, "Ask other people what they are using".

Roberto is spot on about the fishing part, but if you are targeting "Buggs" don't forget the special card that is required!

They dredging the harbor so that really messes things up for us hooping and fishing right now...not to sure 'bout the pier. Oceanside (IMO) have always sucked for fishing.

I think you hit the nail on the head. The days of infinite limits for everyone in SoCal are pretty an exception rather then the general rule.
