I am planning on buying a BPS MicroLite rod, it seems that both rods got good reviews, I am kinda struggling right now on either go with glass or graphite?
I will be using it for trout fishing and most likely I will get a 7' or even longer rod.
What do you guys say?
Go with glass or graphite?'
Thank you!

Bao

I had a graphite micro lite before, I mean it is a good rod but I don't think the backbone is strong enough to set the hook. I really wanna know how the glass one performs

i own the 7'6 rod (actually purchased the combo at 20) and i havnt had any problems with hook sets at all. backbone seems good to me.

Thank you for the reply, is your combo the graphite one or the glass rod?

Sweet, I am thinking about getting one of those too. How does it feel when you toss the jigs?

to be honest its a lil heavier than my fenwick and blackrok rods that i have but it gets the job done. I have it paired with a pfluger president 6920( smallest one they make) and cast pretty good

I have the graphite 7', and I love it. I use it for every kind of fishing. Great for trout. Gets that 1/8 oz drop shot OUT there. Super for pan fish, too. I love this rod. Very sensitive. I can feel the tiniest redear nibble and set that hook. No trouble setting the hook on a trout that's heading out the other direction at 100+ mph.

Yes that is the one...I m thinking about going to BPS to test it out before I purchase one, hopefully I can find the difference between those two rods.
Those Ross are definitely very sensitive!
