Same here!

Mine is an ancient Mayan family recipe that's been handed down for generations, well, one generation at least.

First, I procure the best ant eggs the Sierra Nevada has to offer. The pesky red ants put up a fight, but after the stinging subsides, it's completely worth it. This also usually involves a lot of hiking in high elevation, so bring plenty of Bud Light to hydrate yourself.

Then, you get fresh roe from the Steelhead making their way up from Malibu Creek. Just lurk the Freshwater Forums here and you'll get the exact time on when they make their run.

You put both those ingredients in french oak barrels, not American oak, and you let it marinate in a dark area for about 2 or 3 months at humidity no greater than 76%, nut no less than 77%.

You'll also need to get some old school original formula Powerbait, the stuff that still had the metal lids, not the plastic ones. You combine as much as you have at the bottom of the pizza pie tin and stick that baby into a wood fired stove at exactly 540º. You need this stuff to dry out completely. After it has dried out, which takes about 5 or 6 hours, you pound it into fine dust and mix it with fresh garlic cloves and some basil, and the eyes and claws of crayfish taken from the LA River. Just the eyes and claws tho.

You will then need to blend the Steelhead roe and ant eggs on 'high,' until you get a nice consistency like that of a smoothie from Jamba Juice. You will then combine the Powerbait dust/garlic/basil/crayfish eyes and claws mixture, add some Colt 45 to get it a bit runny.

Pour that baby all over your lures or bait and get the stringer ready.

It's because you need to crush those ant eggs in there.
