WOW man Irvine was a blast this weekend. the fish were jumping every where all over the lake you can hear people shouting for joy after a good fish was caught. ever person you talked to was catching all day long.
got to the lake at about 12:30 on Thursday and this is what i seen

big daddy was suppose to be meeting me there around this time but he had let me know he was running late so in the mean time i got the "mellow yellow" war ship ready and placed her in dry dock.

shortly after Steve showed up followed up by Bigdaddy and we had a good night of BBQ only the TEAM 57 can do it and talked strategy all night bout the coming day and the vibe was in the are and every one in line was really excited for the new trout season at our beloved vine.
AND THE VINE DELIVERED
the fish can fast and furiously and the west shore was where it was at.
here is a 2.4 trout that was a heck of a fight he even broke my rod while i was trying to net him good thing the line got wrapped around my fish finder and after a few tense moments he was in the net and all mine

after a few more farmed bites and two more fish on the stringer this guy brought my fish count to 4
he was caught on a yellow "Slims Custom Baits" i believe he calls them rat tails. and let me tell you guys these "Rat tails" worms are crazy awesome got sweet action and i cant think of a way to fish them that they wont work

I had 4 fish on the stringer with a few farmed fish and it was about 9:30 am so it was time to put my truck back in the line for the next day.
when i got back on the water i had only one spot on my stringer to fill so it was time to look for that perfect fish to end the perfect day on the water so the hunt was on. It was about 12 now and a lot of the shore fishermen were gone due to limiting out so with a sparkle in my eye it was time to work the shallow water. with the fish jumping and missing three fish on my micro cranks i switched to the Trout king mini jig in firetiger color and a quick kick to new hunting grounds after a few dozen casts i was blessed to get hit, and man i was hit hard these beast spun me around had me lifting my feet out of the water so it don't get wrapped around my fins, he went under me he went left he went right he went at me and away from me i thought for sure i had at least a 6lbs bow but once it was time for the net I was so happy and excited to see a BROOKIE o man i flipped my wig i was so pumped up. he was 18inch and went for 2.8lb on the vine scale

after every one had our fill of fish and fishing back to the line it was where we were joined by seecrisfish, 5150, candyman, josh, Troutdog and every one els who came by to say hi sorry still to excited about everything to recall all the new faces and names.
