Fishing remained very good as anglers found the Trout to be biting from Boat Dock Cove all the way down the West Shore and in the Santiago Flats. Guys where hammering them on Rainbow, Chartruse, Orange and White Powerbait at the said locations. Adding a bit of scent was defintley a key to getting bit as the NEW Bite On Fury, Bite On Garlic, Gulp Alive Garlic and even some of the Smelly Jellys proved to get a few more bites. Trollers also did very well today as they where able to cover water. Trollers reported great succes using the Flickershads in Chrome Clown and Firetiger, the SC Shiners also got bit very well with the color prefrence being the Bubblegum color in the morning and then switching to the Matte Firetiger and Racy Shad color as the day progressed. Of course the good old Rapala CD 03 and CD 05 got bit as well in the Firetiger and Perch colors.

Just a reminder guys and gals next weekend November 10th and 11th kicks off our Masters Series Trout Tournaments with the Veterans Day Trout Tournament. The top 10 heaviest trout, must be entered into the tournament, will go on to the Masters Trout Tournament to be held in April! We still have plenty of camping and pontoons for those days so if you are intrested in getting one please give us a call so we can reserve that for you. Also we have another 5,000lb stocking of Rainbows, Brooks and Browns scheduled to come downt from the Calavares Trout Farm on the Merced River sometime this week.
WHile I am on the subjict of stocking I want o give a huge shoot out to the Tim Goodson, Stacey Goodson, Steven, Nathan and James over at the Calavares Trout Farm. The quality of fish they put in for the Opener is totally mind blowing! I heard a lot of compliments from a lot of anglers on the size, colors and fighting nature of the fish! Can not wait to see what they have in store for us coming up shortly! From what I saw on the Farm there is going to be some epic fights from these fish coming here shortly!
Until Next Time Tight Lines Anglers<

Wow, what can I say really except that this was one exceptional opening weekend. Trout season finally came to my favorite lake and it was WFO! Fished friday with Big Daddy and it really didn't seem to matter what color or style of lure you were using because the fish were just crushing everything. Today I fished from my kayak and again the fish were slamming lures and putting up an epic battle. The fish were mostly larger grade also. I can't remember the last time I saw so many 3-5# fish at the cleaning stations. Thank you Irvine lake and staff for continuously putting forth a quality product and excellent customer service.:Applause: Now I'm tired and sore and its time to crash!

For me personally, This is what i like. I rather see alot of anglers catching nice 3-5 lb great fighting trout, rather then 1 big stupid lazy no fight 15lber.

Congrats to all the Team 57 members . Way to represent!
