Had some sites reserved at silver for the weekend, and barely made it as the fiancee is pregs and not feelin up to camping. At the last minute I got the okay and a buddy of mine and I flew up friday afternoon. We made it to the loop just before dusk so we hit up the rocks from shore and got a few keepers which we released. Saturday we hit June hard and limited out. I forgot all of my lead core and down riggers at home so we were left to battle the wind and drfit baits deep. Seems like the high water temps are keeping the fish down. We metered most of the fish between 50 and 80 ft of water suspended at around 40 -60 ft. FISH on! We wound up catching about 11 or 12 on drifting gold sierra gold and a few on crawlers. I even got a little cut jigging a small ice-jig. At around noon we headed back to camp to get a bite to eat and then walked Rush. Apparently they had stalked because it was wide-open. I probably caught 10 nice trout, all 14" plus. Released all but a few for dinner! They were taking the earth-colored power worms worked like a trout teaser. It was deadly. My buddy caught 3 and lost about 4. Went out to Silver at dusk and battled the wind there too. Not as much luck as wehad desired, but we still managed 2 keepers which we released as well. We're big on the C&R philosophy. On Sunday we headed back to june and I got my buddy on a 5lber on my secret bait! Nice 5lb Alpers but very little fight in him. It was still a great fish though! All in all it was a good trip just too short as always. Still trying to convince the fiancee to get up there for labor day, but we'll see

Very nice pics and congrats on the quality fish you caught!

Is that first fish a hatchery cuttie or something? It has some very un-pronounced markings....
