Dark now,bought 7 30 and i switch to the the old drifting froz shad trick down the bank on a flyline,,,,,,,,,

1Hr later i had 2 in the box at 7 1/2 and 8 1/2 lbs

This season has being good for me on stripers but only one 5 pound catfish , the main reason didn't fish a lot with bait was do to the moss this season . Nice stripers as well as those cats !

I was talking to Trolly this morning about where we should try next week.......actually I'm kinda looking forward to sometime in the near future sharing the water with Team TB-CB. TB, those are some fish! One of these days I'm gonna have to go check out that area of the Duct.

How are you rigging up for fly lining the shad? Does that method work very well when the water is flowing fast. The water moving really fast on Friday and having read your post earlier in the day, I was thinking that the current would probably still push the bait into the bank or not allow it to get lower in the water column.

Actually dave its a split shot rig,,,,,,,wirks best with minimal flows BUT also works with hvy flows,,,just use more weight,,,iv used as much as 1oz sliding wts in the past at the G,Course and nail,d,m,,,,,,,,,,works best at abought 15 to 20 feet out with a whole chovy or shad ,,,,,,,,,keep rod tip high and just walk with it,,,,,,when you get a pull, just lower the rod tip and let him take it till out of slack then swing on,him
