I want to start throwing swimbaits for bass in city park lakes around me
..so need some help guys?

Question #1 what size swimbait is good......i have some yum money minnows color pearl... size 3 1/2 and one5 inch.......i also have some 2inch berkely swimbaits........are these to small? Or should i get something more bigger? What other swimbaits are good.....

Question #2 what type and pound test line?

Do u already have a rod for the swimbaits or u going to try and use one of the rods u already have? Also, what reel are u going to use? That will be the determining factor.

If u plan on throwing 6-10 inch swimbaits like bbz's or hudd's,ur gonna need a 300 size reel & heavy action rod from 1-8 Oz & at least 7 ft. or longer...line also 25# mono or braid.

There are a lot of great sites out there that share good information. I suggest doing a Google search. That way you can make a decision on what you want to try. They will list the tackle their using. Tacticalbassin on YouTube has a bunch of videos that can get you started.

Are you going to be throwing 2" swimbaits? Or are you going to be chucking 10" swimbaits?

I think the fact that "swimbaits" can denote anything from this:
