Oct 29Th LBC Pancake Buffet

Did somebody say PANCAKES ... Mmm, I want in. After all, who doesn't like pancakes ... :Big Grin:

The weather was great and the water clarity, excellent !

Got my feet in sand just before 11am. I tie on a 1/4 ounce leadhead and 3in Big Hammer.
Not sure of the color, kind of a spottie special(green) w/red flake and a clear w/red flake.
1st cast and the pancake buffet begins.

These little dudes were on fire. I fished for about 2hrs, landing 10 Hali's total - a personal best.

I think it's a lot of fun just to be catching!
I've spent numerous days just casting with out any luv. :(
So these kinda days surely brighten up those days that were dead slow indeed!

I was about 4 to 5 pancakes in when I got that legal, it definitely made things more interesting.

Those fish were active, I lost 2 more in the small waves, had the tail bit off
my swimbait by another one, and had a few short bites. I was talking to another angler who
was on his way out, and he had several Hali's also, including one legal.

Catching one legal Hali and 9 shorties is a great feeling. But I have yet to
catch 2 legals in one session. Hmm ! something to shoot for.

LB update for Sunday 11/4/12

Another nice day in LB !! This time no legals, but I did manage to catch
9 Short Hali's. The 2 biggest going about 20 to 21in. Lots of Corbina
crusing the shallows, just wish I knew how to catch one, they diden't seem
to interested in my swimbait.

The weather was perfect, sunny & clear. You could see all the way to Catalina
Island, even seen a couple large Dolphines crusing about 25 yards off the beach,
cool sight. But the most interesting sight had to be the guy taking a walk up and
down the beach in a red bikini bottom ... :Shocked: ... only in LB ... Lol

Nice couple of flattie sessions there and congrats for letting the bigger model go back out and play in the future since breakfast had been served!
