I have a pair of polarized Quiksilvers and I love em.I never fish without wearing sunglasses,my nephew just went to the Dr. because his eye was hurting and the Dr. told he had a sunburn on his eyeball from the glare off the water. He has a permanent scar on his eye.Now he always wears em

I own Hobie, Costa Del Mar, and Maui Jim. By far the Maui Jim are the best sunglasses I've ever owned. More expensive then the others, but worth the price. The optical clarity is outstanding!

Maui Jim by far, but I don't use them for fishing. I bought a polarized from Costco for $40 that I use while fishing. Salt water and fishing are hard on glasses.

Maui Titaniums - they are incredibly light and strong. I did crush a pair in my car door once, put them in a box with a sob story and mailed them off to the factory. Two weeks later a brand new pair showed up no questions asked. Amazing customer service!

Definitely either official Bill Dance or Jimmy Houston sunglasses, you know, the ones that are so huge they cover half your face. You can't lose, not only do they work well, but they're also very stylish.

The added advantage is that in addition to the glasses, if you also get the Jimmy Houston haircut, you don't have to put sunscreen on your forehead or ears...

Exactly Sansou! Thanks for mentioning that, I can't believe I forgot to discuss that added benefit.

Oh, and let's not forget to mention the birth control benefit of the Jimmy Houston glasses........ :?

I have had excellent luck with my Smith Brand Undertow glasses. They lasted me longer than any other pair. 1.5 years, and I'm hard on glasses. They have a scratch resistant coating that really works. Color I uses is dark black frame, gray lens. Lost them in the sea a few weeks ago and bought a new pair online for 73.00 incl/S&H.

Just received them today in time for tomorrow's trip to Catalina!!! :D :D

I like the Maui Jims myself. be sure to get the glass lenses they are the toughest. Others scratch easier. Also, Lens color is very important. If you go to Maui Jim website they will give you 2 colors good for fishing. I think I use the rose color.

I lose sunglasses like crazy............ BUT..... when I head out surf fishing, I have a pair of Kaenon "Gauge's" that I wear.

http://www.kaenon.com/product.cfm?actio ... uct_id=614 (http://www.kaenon.com/product.cfm?action=show_product&product_id=614)

I have the black G-12 edition. Dark tint, perfect for surf fishing.

They are hardy sunglasses and they come in a great metal case, but like any others, ya gotta take care of them and protect them from damage.

Granted they are not cheap, but they are worth every penny. I cannot describe how much your vision into the water improves with these on. They are incredible.

Now I get to see EVERY Corbina that I do not have the talent to catch!
