View Full Version : Do you bleed your stripers?

I'll post this here and Mods can move it if needed. So just wondering if you guys bleed your stripers and if so what is your method. I have just been cutting out the bloodline while cleaning but some guys say I should bleed 'em. Any input would be great!

IMO, they dont need to be bled. I dont mind the bloodline, but that's just me.

Then again, I've never caught a big old striper.

I dont mind trimming the blood line out, so I don't bleed

I know peeps who do and swear by it.

Personal preference IMO..

BTW, Big ole stripers are just as good to eat as small ones,, just not as good as Largemouth and Smallmouth bass, They are the best!
