"Trout"sgiving! Presented by: Team 57 (11/17/12)

Gobble, gobble, gobble.... it's TURKEY TIME! Team 57 presents "Trout"sgiving - Saturday November 17th, 2012 at Irvine Lake. Come celebrate Thanksgiving Team 57 style with some trout fishing, fried turkey with all the fixin's, and a free raffle!

There is no buy-in for the "Trout"sgiving tournament and anyone can weigh-in a fish. Each contestant will be allowed to weigh-in their single largest trout plus their (5 fish max) stringer. Last weigh-in time will be 2pm. This event coincides with the Seeker tournament. We encourage everyone to enter this fun and exciting event. Please do not confuse these two events. If you enter the Seeker Tournament make sure you weigh-in your fish on Irvine Lake's official scale. Your weight will be honored for "Trout"sgiving just make sure you save your fish. If you don't enter the Seeker Tournament we will have a scale at the campsite to weigh-in your fish.

Tournament hours will be from 6am till final weigh-in time at 2pm. We'll be giving away awards for the single largest trout weighed in and also heaviest stringer. Please follow all Irvine Lake rules regarding limits and no catch-and-release, culling, or sharing fish. Also remember that this tournament is for fun, comradery, and in the spirit of "Family, Friends, Fun & Fishing!"

We'll be having a Thanksgiving themed potluck featuring fried turkey from our Team 57 company cooks! After final weigh-in they'll start firing up the turkey fryers and grills and we'll plan on eating around 3pm. Please bring a traditional Thanksgiving side dish for the potluck. If your Wife or Mom makes a killer green bean casserole, pumpkin pie, dressing, etc.... than bring some to share. Check the sign-up list and bring what you see fit.

After we're done eating (around 4pm) we'll be giving away the trophies followed by a free raffle thanks to our many great sponsors so make sure you stick around!

although I wish the day had been a bit more productive out on the water for my self I had a Awesome day ! Got my first day in the tube in the books with many more to come . The Deep fried turkey was delicious , i think some of the best I have had !
