Hey all,
I am going fishing for the first time on Castaic this Thursday. I am looking at being there by 5:45am. Does anyone know if the line of boats and anglers will be long by then or should I get there earlier?

That would be a good time to get there, it would put you right up front, if not in front, unless T/O beats you, but in general the past several Thursday's have not been that bad.................

Honestly,
if you are going to rent a boat, getting there at like 6:30 is fine. The open I think at 6:45 or 7 right now. Unless you really want to be first, it's not a big difference for the rentals. I went on Sunday, at 6:30 and I think i was 15 cars behind. Was in the water on the rental quick. No boils, so it didn't make a difference for the race out, but it could be different.
