Our cousins from Reno and us from Newbury Park met this past Wednesday at Mammoth for our annual fall fishing trip. So Thursday morning we decided to hike to the inlet at Convict Lake. Left to right, Bob, Annette, Bryan, Sharon, Dick, Amy, Hampton and Buck.

Perfect weather for a hike and fishing...some shots on the way.

That "boardwalk" as you approach the inlet is nice.http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g13/morfgrub/free%20day/DSCF0654.jpg
Fishing wasn't w/o but what we caught were nice size. Here's hampton checking out one that went around 14 inches.

We're not very good at taking photos of the fish, most of the time we forget or the camera is away from the action.
On the way back, Amy tries a spot off a huge fallen tree. Yes, she caught a real nice one...really!http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g13/morfgrub/free%20day/DSCF0658.jpg
In the afternoon, we went to Lake Mary and it was low...and yet, the tricle of water coming in from Lake George had trout trying to swim upstream. So we left, and went to the Mammoth Brewing Company tasting room. Boy, that "Double Nut Brown" is very interesting! Friday morning we went to Lake George. It got cold and wind gusts made it tough, but in the 2 1/2 hours we hung out, we caught a dozen nice rainbows and Sharon caught a little brookie.

We drove down into Red's Meadow to try Sotcher Lake but with all the new fall downs from the big wind storm earlier it was difficult to just walk around the lake. Annette caught one here on a thomas bouyant and that was about it. Wish we could have taken more photos but we're lucky we got these :Big Grin:
