Decided to get out of the heat and head up to Lake Gregory yesterday. Got there around 9 and noticed no one was parked by the dam. Tried there for a while, but there was a pretty strong headwind so I picked up and moved to the ball field. Caught two rainbows at the ball field, 3/4 lb and 1 1/2 lbs, both on powerbait. Tried different lures but I kept snagging weeds just below the surface. Got tired of the wind and packed up around 1:00.
The only other interesting thing that happened was that a C17 globemaster was flying low and doing turns North of the lake. Some of the locals stopped to chat and said it was doing the same thing the day before.
