1st Cast

Short report from Monday Oct. 1st - LB to Seal Beach area.

Got this guy on my very 1st cast :Big Grin: ... Using a 3in clear w/red flake BH.

Must of been the 1st cast curse, because after that, I fished for about another
4 hrs making like 10,000 cast ... and nothing.

But the weather was great and the water was swim trunks warm :Smile:

Nice going NFS! Gotta admit, the first cast curse isn't such a bad thing...at least it relieves the pressure of the stripe early and you get that feeling that anything else that comes along is just gravy.:Wink: Unfortunately, it also gives you that "TODAY'S GONNA BE EPIC!!!!" feeling that gets deflated in the end. Oh well, congrats either way!!! :Thumbs Up:

Last couple of trips have been slow for me, so it definitely felt good to get a legal on the board.

Well put Don ... I had checked the tide charts, moon phase, hiked over submerged boulders, jumped onto a sandbar and stood waist deep to make that cast.
So I definitely got that "TODAY'S GONNA BE EPIC!!!!" feeling when I hooked up ... well, it was good while it lasted ... Lol

I was looking forward to making the HG4 event, but it fell on a work day for me.
Although, i'm still trying to trade days with a fellow worker. It would be nice to
meet the FNN/SWAT crew.
