The month of September has not been kind to me, been doing more fishing then catching. That was until today.
After meeting the guys from Indio I get on the water a little before 7:00 and started throwing a spinnerbait w/o much luck so I put on the donkey rig and get a short strike. I continue and get my first one of the day, I have to switch over to the DS as I re-tie the donkey, as it was fouled up. I get bit on the DS and miss it while screwing around. So I decide to DS and Carolina the rest of the day. Not a wide open bite but I end up with eight fish, total weight of 13.5 pounds the biggest was 4 lbs 6 oz. The color of the the day was "Pink-n-Stink. Roboworm Morning Dawn with a spray of attractant. Feels good to get out of the slump.
Going up to Jenks on Sunday with a fishing buddy to play with trout on UL and trout worms. Now I just have to find my waders, I haven't used them since April.

nice job, thanks for the report- im heading out in the morning, will keep your findings in mind while im out there! Donkey rig, i had to look that one up! Cool concept, maybe an umbrella rig will work too.....

Kelster, September has been nicer to you than to me. I have been sick the entire month with viral infections so I haven't even gone fishing, but I am finally getting to the point where I may be able to fish soon. I am glad you had success out there.
