Saturday Jean and I left Dana Point harbor going south 15 - 20 miles looking for patties and Dorado. Water temp 69 -71 Flat Glassy deep blue clear water.
Covered about 70 miles of water from 20 miles south to 15 miles west of Dana point. Also covered area around the 209 bank. Saw 3 small patties about the size of a kitchen table.
Went inshore at 3 pm to see if we could take the skunk off the boat. Fished the kelp just north of Dana Point harbor. Caught and released at the water a nice 5Lb - 6lb Black Sea Bass.
Not sure what the minor cool front might do to the fishing this week. Heading out again this week to get Dorado.
