Team 57's "Daniel" award is the highest honor that a Team 57 member can win.

The award was created in the summer of 2009 and was named after Danas late father Daniel Rea, who loved the sport of fishing.

The inaugural winner of this award and it's only winner so far, is Arthur Lai aka "WINGNUT"

The Team 57 "Daniel" has only been awarded once. It is not an "annual award"

If it ever was awarded again theres no doubt Big Daddy would be the man!

I've been lucky enough to meet Big Daddy last year parked in line at irvine. Shared info with me immediately. Began running into him this summer and man I gotta tell ya, one hell of a guy. He's going to DVL for the SKC 2 this Saturday in which he wanted to take some Marines out. Well I got him a couple Marines and they are stoked. Always giving to others every time I see him or talk to him. Stand up fisherman and more importantly a stand up guy.

From the time I have meet the team 57 crew ts and BD have been nothing but the kindest and coolest kats around. Everyone else has the same additude. I think is awesome. I vote yea for BD on fisherman of the year.
