Fished Silverwood lake yesterday for some lmb and stripers. I had not been on that lake on a boat for a long time, so I thought I would give it a try. I arrived early in the morning and was surprised that there was a short line. Launched quickly and started to go east to the open part of the lake when I notice some boiling going on next to this point where it dropped off into deep water. We started with some top water baits but only got a few swirls on the bait at first then a small hook up by a small 12 inch striper. We seen the bass chasing bait but they would not take any top water or crank baits. Decided to fish the small stripers for a while on a lead head jig and then we went on the troll and kept on catching the same size fish after fish. We could not get anything larger than 12” fish. The bite slowed on the troll so we started to fish for lmb on deep structure. My son landed this 3lbs 12 oz. bass and then the wind started to blow. We called it quits by noon. Here’s a pic
