Not too sure if this is the right place to post this but I have a question for the pros out there regarding jigging. I may get some people hating me and replying to this with some rude comments because they don't like tips shared, but regardless I am looking to expand my repertoire of bass techniques and am going to start "jigging." I can honestly say I have never tied on a jig but I recently bought some Shaky-Head jigs and have no idea how to present it to the bass. Any and all tips are greatly appreciated but some general questions I have are what plastics do I use with them? Are shaky-heads even good jigs to use? If not what are some better ones? Do I it drag it slowly along the bottom or "jump" it, etc.? I've heard that football jigs might be good as well as scrounger jigs, but I have yet to purchase those. Thanks FNN from one angler to the next I hope I can get some advice. :Big Grin:

oh ya I forgot to say if secrecy of info is an issue feel free to send me a pm!

There are way too many types of jigs and trailers to explain to you without writing an essay. Since you have shaky heads already you should check out this video from Aaron Martins. I think it will help u out.

Also, you should hit you tube and start searching for videos and type football jigs, swimming jigs, etc and start watching them. Also check out bassresource.com in the tackle section...lots of very good jig threads.
