I arrived at the lake around 6pm. I didn't have time to stop anywhere to buy bait so I went in to the tackleshop to buy a couple whole frozen mackerel. After that I launched my boat and hit the water. This was my first time at this lake so I decided to motor around for awhile and watch my fishfinder so I could get a feel for the depths and countours of the lake. By about 7pm I had made my way back to a spot that looked promising so I decided to give it a try. After 45 minutes and no bites later I decided to move spots.
After moving spots I had just cast out my 2nd rod as the sun was starting to set so I took a quick pic of this awesome sunset!

Almost as soon as the sun had set the bite turned on fast and furious. By 8:30pm I had my limit so I started to head in. When I got to the dock I noticed one of the fish had broke off the stringer. As I was trying to decide if I was going to go out and get one more fish I ran in to a couple of guys coming in with a pontoon who hadn't caught anything yet. I offered to take one of them out to get him on some fish but the other had to leave.
We headed back out and returned to the same H0T spot. We managed to get 4 more fish before it was time to call it a night, just short of our limits. While out on the boat I told Garick (was his name) about Fishing Network and Team 57. He was a very nice guy who was just starting to get in to fishing. I told him FNN and experience are the best ways to learn and about all the awesome people on this site and Team 57. We traded info at the end of the night and hopefully he decides to join us here on FNN soon!
Here's some pictures of all our fish!

What an amazing night it ended up being and a weeknight on top of that! I can't wait to get back out there again and get on some more fish. Maybe I'll run in to y'all next time out, hope to see you there!
