Great conditions and great am fishing in the BU (8/26 am)

Well haven't been out with my dad for a little while and haven't posted a surf fishing report in a while too... Had to hit the sand early this am at the usual spot in Malibu.

Arrival at 6:30am. Overcast, cool, no wind, water was pretty clean, just the occasional kelp stringer, small waves, no surge, plenty of small sandcrabs. I thought, "wow, hope the fishin is gonna be as good as it looks"

Sure enough, 1st cast and I see my pops go bendo :LOL:
I'm thinkin today might be a good day.. We start making our way down the beach and get hits every cast. Toss back a few cookie cutter size perch (7-10").. And we get a double hook up :lol: My fish peels some drag and I see my dad fighting a decent size fish too.

I land this nice YFC and my dad the above average BSP:

The bite was pretty WFO on average grade BSP like these.. My dad caught over 25 I'm sure.. He had a great time!

The bite died off around 8:45am I think. Only dink nibbles towards the very end.

Anyways, a great, action filled am for my dad. All the action on camo/red crack... They didn't seem interested in sandcrabs at all. The water was the cleanest I've seen in a while.
