My wife and i Fish both Saltwater and Freshwater. True we have spent most of this year fishing Saltwater. On occasion and during the winter months we do get out on the local lakes to hunt down Large Mouth Bass.
As a Lifetime member of a number of Bass ( freshwater) organizations i felt compelled today to share a Fishemans prayer written by one of the most honored Freshwater bass fisherman in the world.
Fisherman Prayer:
In June of this year Homer Circle (best known in the Freshwater Bass Fishing world as Uncle Homer) passed away at 98 years old.
Homer spent nearly 80 years promoting the sport of Bass fishing. He is recognized by 3 Fishing Hall of Fame Organizations.
Reading about his life and the thousands he touched with his teaching and advice
I remembered that Uncle Homer wrote a Fisherman's Prayer several years ago.
I share it with you today
God Grant that I may fish until my dying Day
When at last I come to rest
I will then most humbly Pray
When in HIS Landing Net I lie in Final Sleep
In Gods Mercy I will be Judged........
......good enough to KEEP.
