Many of you probably know that most of Southern California's beaches are swarmed with people and are pretty polluted...

Does anyone know of a beach where it isnt so polluted and where the Perch fishing is GREAT?

I've been up North and caught a surfperch every cast, but out here, i dont even wanna try

BSP's are all over, just have to find them, from L.A to O.C

i have found that sunset beach is pretty uncrowded because of the limited parking and has the only free parking i know of

I like the areas above zuma beach all of the way up to ventura. The water seems cleaner up there.Stay away from malibu though...it's very polluted.
I've been sticking alot of big slabs at channel islands harbor. I really don't think about eating them though. I let all of my fish go unless they are a halibut over 25"

It's a good thing you don't eat surf perches caught from LA to OC. According to the DFG, they are the "1 meal in 2 weeks" or "1 meal a month" type of fish!

You're better off eating YFC as they're not even mentioned.

Wait a couple months and you could shoot a cannon down most of the same beaches and not hit anyone. Not much interest in the beaches after it starts to get cold.
