Fished a few weeks ago in a high county lake in the Bishop Creek Canyon area. Area not disclosed due to lack of traffic to area. Hiked about an hour and a half up and the trout were surfacing all over the lake. Started fly fishing with a parachute adams. with a little work i had 3 hybrids within 30 min. The bight was slow and sporadic so i moved. Headed to a new spot and tried some more flies with no luck. Put the fly rod away and tossed a Kastmaster. 1st cast was a slam. pulled in the first Gold Trout. tossed two more times for two more hybrids and there just bites the rest for the morning. headed back at about 11:00 after fishing from 7:30am. Here are some pics of the little hybrids and the gold.

Fishing can be good there. Once saw 2 fish 18 and 20 inches out of there in the 60's. Saw another 14 inches and fat in the later 60's. Have caught some 12 inches at ice out there in the 70's. Then they dumped in a load of rainbows and messed up the fish.
