With the heatwave and "shakers" around, and temperatures in the triple digits...the Cats were on the bite today! Fresh BiteON mac and shrimp where the two baits of choice...Mits "Magic Man" finished by 12 with a stringer of 5, and another one that stood out was that of daughter Ashley & Albert De Luna of Santa Ana. They came out to cooler temps by the lake/water. They fished from the shore, and scored a 9lb Channel and a stringer of 3-4lbrs from Santiago Flats and the Kids Lagoon. Remember guys, if fishing from shore, find the clearest area of the lake. Cast near structure, weeds, submerged trees, and HOLD ON to your rods, because that trophy/double digit cat is just around the corner~! VP/hz
