I'm going tomorrow to Newport Harbor and am going to fish from shore but don't really no where I should start. Any good places? What should I use to catch some fish to? I don't really fish the bay so I don't really know any info would help.

U can shore fish on Balboa island, theres a couple of public piers that r really small,it might be tough depending on the tide conditions when u get there.
Good luck!

I am also looking for a spot to fish on shore. The only place I know is all the way down on North Star Beach on Dover and I don't really catch much there. Someone PM me with some productive spots, please?

Not failure with Newport harbor but the "wedge " is a good start at newport.

There are lots of good spots go during a negative low of at least -0.90 feet.
Storm drains during high tide are spottie magnets.
Try around balboa Blvd and g street.
Take me with you! Ill be able to give you better tips.
