Anyone else agree ?seems like everycast i did with a drop shot i would either get stuck or pull out a handful of weeds .

Agree. Was there last saturday using dropshot rig. Lost like 2 hooks due to rough weeds.

You have to expect that by throwing the dropshot in the grass... Make the adjustment of throwing baits that excel in or above grass.. Like a lipless crankbait...a frog... a horney toad...or even a topwater. The bass are there and they are feeding!!!

Agreed......drop shot isnt for grass. I would even throw a swim fluke rigged with a keel weighted hook but not a drop shot....also try T-rigs.

Last Chance B&T in Hemet has them, Bluewater B&T in Temecula has them, and BPS has boatloads of them. Put a creature trailer on them and hang on...

We've done well with flylined, texas-rigged Senkos with 8 lb test. (or any strong, small diameter, lo-vis line) The 5 and 6 inch Senkos are nice because they cast a mile and by rigging them in the stream-lined Texas style, you can work them right on through the grass and weeds, without getting a bunch of them on your hook. Plus...some bass are always hanging out right in the middle of those weeds.
