As someone who was raised in the Mammoth/Crowley Lake area in the 50's and 60's and remembering how some of the fishing used to be, I thought you would like to see some pictures of fishing in Idaho/Oregon currently. I can remember a lot of larger Cutthroat and Browns both in Crowley and the tributaries. Hope you appreciate these pics.

This is a catch and release fishery for Brown Trout, consequently, the fishing is always good and the fish are very healthy. Personally, the largest I have landed here is 22".

Normally, I fish here with an indicator and small nymphs - typically a flashback pheasant tail in an 18-22 hook size. When the hatches are coming off, dry fly fishing can be good also. Indicator fishing is always successful, but some days are obviously better than others.

That is a nice fat fish. Makes you wonder how they get that big on insects.
