Here's a few colorful green sunfish from urban fishing trips in a city creek. I was really impressed with the colors on their gills:

Most of the fish were caught on microjigs. On my first trip to this urban creek, I landed 10+ green sunfish in about an hour. Largest was pushing 12''

As usual a fascinating report and great video. Thanks for getting out there and finding all that fishable water. It's always heartening to see your reports. Stay safe out there and keep the reports coming.

I thought green sunfish were flatter and more like bluegill. I know bluegill are related to the LMB. Looks like these green sunfish are even more so. Good work.
